Cattle farmers, horse farmers, and game farmers can now use Diatoms Rolling Compound to treat their animals for external parasites. This natural product is spread on the ground in the animals' kraals or in frequented areas like those close to waterholes. Over time, the animals will roll in the compound and kick it up, creating a diatomic environment that addresses the external aspects and eliminates parasites.
Resistance does not occur, and the product has achieved organic certification. This means that for the first time, farmers can use a natural solution for parasite control. Diatoms Rolling Compound is not affected by rain and can also be used where lions and cheetahs are bred.
The required application for horses and cattle is approximately 500kg, with 400kg spread on the ground in the kraal and 100kg hung at the gate entrance in hessian bags where the animals rub against the bags when walking past. For game application, 500kg is spread in a 4m x 4m area, especially near waterholes.
